How to Enable Dark Theme For YouTube On Android?
Google recently launched an official dark mode for the YouTube app on Android. YouTube’s dark theme isn’t enabled bu default, You have to make a couple of changes to YouTube’s Settings in order to enable the dark theme.
Note: In order to enable dark mode on YouTube, the YouTube version must be on version 13.35 or higher.
Tip: To see the app’s version number, tap your profile icon in the top-right corner of YouTube for Android. Now select the Settings option from the menu and scroll down to the bottom and tap About.
Step 1. Open the YouTube app on Android devices and tap on the profile picture in the top-right corner.
Step 2. Tap on Settings.
Step 3. Tap on General.
Step 4. Toggle on the Dark theme.
Step 5. Tapping this toggle should immediately switch the theme from white to black without relaunching the app.
How to Enable Dark Theme For YouTube On iOS?
The new dark theme on YouTube for iOS makes the app easier on the eye while creating an experience that’s ideal for night. YouTube is getting a dark interface on its official app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
Your YouTube for iOS must be version 13.01.4 or higher.
Step 1. Open the YouTube app on your iOS devices and tap on the profile picture in the top-right corner.
Step 2. Tap Settings.
Step 3. In the YouTube section of Settings, you’ll find the Dark Theme option right above the Restricted Mode toggle. Tap on it and the Dark Theme will be enabled instantly.
