Well, there’s no need to enable Incognito mode on Google Chrome by manipulating Google Chrome’s option and features. Today, I am going to show you the perfect way to always use the Incognito mode on Chrome On Windows PC, Android, and iPhone or iPad without doing extra stuff.
However, enabling the Incognito mode on Chrome every now and then is so hectic. That’s why it can be quite useful to learn to always open the browser in Incognito mode. It reduces the likelihood of failing to get to the private mode when you open the Google Chrome browser.
In the computer, You can easily create a shortcut that allows you to quickly open Chrome in private mode. While Android and iOS devices it gets even easier to do that. What is the Incognito Mode?
You will be using a range of information-files on your computer to save website preferences in tiny text-based files known as Cookies, from the historical record of the pages you visited. Chrome’s Incognito mode eliminates most personal data components to ensure that at the end of the current session they are not left behind.
What Incognito Browsing Means?
Nobody else who uses your computer can see your actions while you browse privately. Nonetheless, bookmarks and downloads will be protected. Chrome doesn’t save when you’re in private mode:
- Data you enter in the form
- Cookies and site data
- Your browsing history
How to Always Use Incognito Mode on Chrome in PC/Windows
Starting Chrome in Incognito mode on Windows is pretty straightforward. You need to build a desktop shortcut by adding a simple command line to the default file target. You can also do that with the shortcut already in use on your computer. Or you can repeat the shortcut (using Copy and Paste) so you have two shortcuts, one to launch Chrome in normal mode, and one to launch it in private mode.
Step 1. Right-click on the Chrome shortcut then select Properties.
Step 2. Go to the Shortcut tab, now on the Target dialog box, simply add a “single space –incognito” at the end of the Target field then Click Apply, and then OK to save your changes. See the below image for more information.
Step 3. Double-click the Chrome shortcut, and the browser will always launch in Incognito mode each time.
Note: If you want to stop the shortcut from starting in Incognito mode, just delete the “–incognito” command line from the Target field through Properties and save your changes.
How to Always Use Incognito Mode on Chrome in Android
In order to open the browser directly in Incognito mode, there’s no need to do much. Instead, the Chrome icon already features that functionality.
- Tap and hold on the Chrome shortcut.
- You’ll see the context menu, simply tap on Incognito Tab and you are good to go.
How to Always Use Incognito Mode on Chrome in the iPhone or iPad (iOS 13)
Unfortunately, not all iOS users are eligible to run chrome in private mode directly, unless you use iOS 13.
- Long-press the Chrome icon on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap on New Incognito Tab. Now run directly the Chrome browser in private mode.
