Just like on the News Feed and Messenger, you can use Reactions on Facebook Stories too! These Reactions are a cool way to quickly show how you feel about a post, message, or story without typing out a response. Simply tap on the emoji that best represents your emotions.
However, there are instances when you might accidentally react to a Facebook story. It’s a common occurrence because the reaction emojis are right there at the bottom of the screen, and a quick tap can trigger them.
For those who didn’t know, you can actually undo or delete reactions on Facebook stories. This is especially handy if you react with an emoji that doesn’t quite fit the situation or if you didn’t mean to react at all. Also, unlike Messenger, if you want to change your reaction on a story, you have to first remove the existing one before choosing a different emoji.
So, whether it’s correcting a mistaken reaction or just wanting to express yourself differently, you’ve got the option to manage your reactions on Facebook Stories!
How to Undo Reaction on Facebook Story on Android
Regrettably, you can’t remove a reaction from a Messenger story directly in the app. To undo a reaction from a Messenger story, you’ll need to go through Facebook. Just open up Facebook, find the story where you want to remove your reaction, and you’ll be able to do it from there.
Note: The “Undo sent reactions” feature doesn’t stick around forever; it’s only there for a short time right after you send the reactions. That’s why it’s important to act swiftly if you want to get rid of an unintended reaction from the Messenger story. Acting fast not only helps you fix the oopsie quickly but also ensures that the person on the receiving end doesn’t spot the accidental or unwanted reaction.
1. Open the Facebook app.
2. Find that particular story that you want to remove the reaction from.
3. Tap the 3 dots menu at the top right-hand corner and select Undo sent reactions.
4. Tap Undo to confirm it.
And there you have it! The reaction will disappear right away, both for you and the person who shared the story. Just be sure to undo your choice before the recipient has a chance to see what you reacted with. Moreover, you have to go through Facebook since there’s no option to take back a reaction directly within Messenger.
