Do you want to connect and use Samsung DeX wirelessly to a Windows 11 PC? Samsung DeX Wireless is a new handy feature available on Samsung Galaxy devices running on Android 10 based on One UI 2.5. Previously, you needed to use Samsung DeX on a laptop or a smart TV using a cable but now you can connect Samsung DeX Wireless to a PC/laptop or smart TV wirelessly. So, in this guide, you will learn how to connect DeX Wireless to Windows 11 PC or laptop.
Samsung DeX, on the other hand, intends to usher in a new era of mobile desktop computing by allowing you to turn your phone into a powerful PC. The best part is that it is completely free. Many of the new Samsung mobile devices have the DeX platform built-in, so all you need to get started with DeX is a display that looks like a PC or laptop. A USB cable and the Samsung DeX software aren’t required.
Wireless DeX vs. Screen Mirroring
So, how does wireless DeX differ from regular screen mirroring on your TV or PC? First, there’s the user interface: DeX is a virtual desktop environment. It does more than just make your phone’s screen bigger. Multiple apps can be displayed, windows can be resized, keyboard shortcuts can be accessed, and the right mouse button can be used.
You can also check your phone’s incoming notifications and calls without having to take a break from what you’re doing to look at it. You don’t have to slow down to remain on top of relevant messages when you’re in the zone and at your most productive.
Second, while your phone is powered by DeX, you can continue to use it as a phone. It essentially provides you with a two-screen experience. While you continue to present on TV, you can do whatever you want on your phone. For example, if you need to rapidly respond to an important text from a coworker while you have slides up on the screen, you can do so without disrupting the presentation.
Why Use DeX Wireless on a Laptop?
Samsung DeX has many different features that best suit your needs. Samsung DeX Mode allows your device to display a PC-like experience on a large screen with the same apps that you use on your phone every day. Finally, you can use DeX mode on your monitor while using different apps on your device at the same time, or turn your device into an input device to control the DeX environment.
