Because of the well-defined lip that divides the lid from the base, it looks fantastic and is easy to open with one hand. A more grippy feel would make it even simpler to use, but that is something we can put to our wish list for the next-generation Galaxy Buds. Internal magnets hold the lid closed, and they function reliably: if I drop the case, the lid stays shut, preventing the earphones from flying to the furthest reaches of my living room.

The casing has two LEDs, one on the exterior and one on the interior. The outside LED displays how much battery life is remaining in the case, while the inside LED represents the battery level of the earbuds.
