It will prolong the life and health of your built-in battery, and you will have to replace it much later.
Meanwhile, the second reasons can be heat or overheating, Fast charging drives much power over a short time, causing devices to overheat easily.
Most Samsung Galaxy smartphones come with fast Charging mode to charge your phone as fast as possible. Luckily, Samsung phone with Android 10 and Android 9.0 provide you an option to completely disable it in case of not having it. By default, fast charging mode is activated on most Samsung phone. How to Disable Fast Charging on Samsung S9, S10, Note 9, Note 10, S20 Series (Android 10)
So, if you have recently updated your Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+, Note 9, Note 10, S10 series to Android 10 then here’s how to disable fast charging mode.
Step 1. Unplug the charger because the Fast charging option will be greyed out while charging.
Step 2. Open the Settings app.
Step 3. Scroll down and tap Device care.
Step 4. Here, you’ll have four options: Battery, Storage, Memory and Security. Tap Battery.
Step 5. Tap Charging at the bottom.
Step 6. Now, simply disable or turn the Fast charging off. Here, you can also disable Fast wireless charging mode as well.
To Turn on Fast Charging Mode on Samsung S9 or Later ( Android 10):
Step 1. Unplug the charger because the Fast charging option will be greyed out while charging.
Step 2. Open the Settings app.
Step 3. Scroll down and tap Device care.
Step 4. Tap Battery.
Step 5. Tap Charging.
Step 6. Turn on the Fast charging mode.
How to Disable Fast Charging Mode on Samsung S8+, S8 and Note 8 (Android Pie)
Well, Android 10 won’t be available on Samsung Galaxy S8+, S8, S7, S7 Edge and some other devices. So, if you’re using Android Pie then here’s how to disable fast charging.
- Unplug the charger because the Fast cable charging option will be greyed out while charging.
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap Device care.
- Select Battery at the bottom.
- Tap on three dots on the top right-hand corner and select Settings.
- Scroll down all the way to the bottom then disable Fast cable charging.
To Turn on Fast Cable Charging on Samsung Android Pie:
- Unplug the charger because the Fast cable charging option will be greyed out while charging.
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap Device care.
- Select Battery at the bottom.
- Tap on three dots on the top right-hand corner and select Settings.
- Scroll down all the way to the bottom then turn the Fast cable charging on.
Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging is officially supported on the Galaxy Note 5 through Note 10 Plus, the Galaxy S6 through S20 Ultra and some others.
