MX Player has introduced a new P2P file-sharing feature called “MX Share” which allows Android users to share videos using the MX Player built-in feature without the need for a server. Now this is another wonderful feature for MX players after supporting the picture-in-picture mode
However, there are a lot of excellent video players for Android users to choose from but MX Player has been around a long time and it was one of the few video players that offered various features for years alongside the VLC player.
Recently, MX Player added a brand new feature on version 1.15.4 (ARMv8 NEON). I have been using MX player for almost five years now and today I noticed that there is an MX share option available.
With MX Share you can share your videos and movies with your friends using this feature. MX share uses a Peer-to-peer file sharing feature in which you don’t need of internet to share files from one smartphone to another smartphone.
What it means is that now you can send any of the videos available on MX player directly, there’s no need to turn on Wi-Fi Direct or use third-party apps like Xender, SHAREit, Zapya and etc, just search the video and send it to somebody else.
MX Player
MX player is regarded as the most useful video player for both Android and iOS users. In a study conducted in May 2019, MX Player topped in the customer loyalty segment, with 21 percent of respondents claiming that they use solely this platform for video streaming. It has around 350 million users in India and 500 million across the world.
Meanwhile, MX Player was created for use on Android devices such as smartphones and tablets. However, it is also available for use on any streaming device that supports Android software.
MX Player can be installed on a vast number of devices including the most popular streaming device, the Amazon Firestick. If you have a jailbroken Firestick, MX Player will work with almost all streaming apps available.
One of the main reasons streamers love MX Player is its ability to use Subtitles and advanced hardware acceleration. Oftentimes, using MX Player will result in little to no buffering for all your Movie and TV Show selections!
How to Use MX Share On MX Player?
Whenever you open the MX player, you’ll see the MX share option on the top-right hand along with the three dots (menu) and search. If your MX player doesn’t have the MX Share then update to version 1.15.4 (ARMv8 NEON) or download the latest version or simply click here to download.
Steps:
1. Open “MX Player”. Tap on the Share button.
2. Select “Send” if you want to send videos/audio/apps or select “Receive” if you want to receive videos/audio/apps from other devices.
