Do you want to call record on your iPhone without using any third-part call recorder apps. If that’s the case then iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro max users can achieve this by using the Apple Intelligence feature running iOS 18.1. Learn here how to record a phone call on iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.
Meanwhile, Apple’s iOS 18.1 beta, now available for developers, introduces a new feature called Apple Intelligence. This feature lets users record and transcribe phone calls.
To use it, simply tap the record button in the top left corner after starting a call. An audible message will notify everyone on the call that it’s being recorded. If someone doesn’t want to be recorded, they will need to hang up, as there is no confirmation prompt.
During the call, the audio is recorded and saved to the Notes app. You can access these recordings from Notes, where you can listen to the call again, read a full transcript, and get a summary without having to listen to the entire recording.

Apple Intelligence is a new and exciting technology from Apple this year. Beta testers with compatible devices can try it out now. It will be available to everyone this fall as part of iOS 18.1, macOS Sequoia 15.1, and iPadOS 18.1, though it will still be in beta.
After installing the iOS 18.1 developer beta on your iPhone:
- Go to Settings.
- Find the Apple Intelligence & Siri section
- Join the Apple Intelligence waitlist.
In a few hours, or maybe even sooner, you should get access to Apple Intelligence.
