How to Save Uploaded Video From Facebook Messenger on Android Phone
These types of videos can be easily saved within the Messenger app and it doesn’t require another app.
Step 1. Launch your Messenger app on your Android phone.
Step 2. Find your friends’ conversation that has sent you a video that you want to save it to your phone.
Step 3. Tap and hold or long-press the video file while it is still in preview mode. After holding the video for a few seconds, tap the Save Video option as it appears on the screen.
Step 4. Go to your phone’s media gallery to find the saved video. You can watch and or edit the video once it is saved
How to Save Shared Video From Messenger on Android Phone
Note, you can’t save videos that were originally uploaded or shared from Facebook. You can only save certain videos that someone else has uploaded. But here, I will show you how to download a video or video that was shared through a Facebook page.
Step 1. For this, you will need to download and install a third-party app like Vidmate.
Step 2. Open your Facebook Messenger then open the link of the video, this will take you towards the original location of this video on Facebook.
Step 3. Tap the three dots icon at the top right-hand corner then tap Open with.
Step 4. Now, tap Download Video which has the Vidmate app icon.
Step 5. Tap the download button at the bottom right-hand side of the video.
Step 6. Choose your preferred video format and even you can download it as an audio format as well and at last tap Download.
Step 7. Go to your phone’s media gallery to find the saved video. You can watch and or edit the video once it is saved.
