Do you want to use useful features like Music, weather, Voice recorder, Mode and Routines, and some others when you tap on the Samsung lock screen? This post will show you how to enable and use lock screen widgets on Samsung S23 and S22 series.
Meanwhile, little interactive shortcuts known as widgets let you access an app without actually opening it, display some data, and execute activities. The weather widget, for instance, displays information about the current temperature or the prediction for the upcoming week, and you can press it to launch the app. It’s easy to glance at information without opening an app thanks to widgets for the clock, email, lists, and other things.
Samsung Galaxy phones enable you to install widgets on the lock screen, although the majority of Android phones only allow them on the home screen. Below are the setup instructions.
How to Enable Samsun Lock Screen Widgets on Android 13
With One UI 3.0, lock screen widgets have been available for Samsung devices. In reality, Samsung’s One UI 3.0 upgrade brought back lock screen widgets, which had been absent from Android OS since Lollipop. With One UI 5.1, lock screen widgets are still available.
Note: Widgets for the lock screen are separate from those for the home screen, and as a result, they may be activated or removed from a different settings menu.
1. Go to the Settings app.
2. Tap Lock Screen.
3. Select Widgets.
4. A list of the lock screen widgets that are currently accessible will be displayed in this menu, including Music, Today’s schedule, Next alarm, Weather, Modes and Routines, Voice Recorder, and Digital Wellbeing. These widgets can each be individually activated or disabled.
5. By tapping the Reorder button and dragging and dropping them in the desired position, they can be rearranged.
6. On the Widgets page, toggle on the widgets you want on your lock screen or the always-on display (AOD).
How to Access Widgets
Lock Screen:
Just tap the clock to access widgets on the lock screen.
Always On Display:
Double-tap the AOE clock and move it up or down to show the list of widgets if you want to see lock screen widgets on the Always On Display.
That’s all. This is how you can enable and access lock screen widgets on Samsung Galaxy S23 and S22 series running One UI 5.0 or later based on Android 13.
