Windows 11:
Step 1. Press the Windows Key + I to open Windows Settings.
Step 2. Click Accounts.
Step 3. Select Your info.
Step 4. The Accounts page lets you change your picture in two main ways:
- Take a photo.
- Choose a file.
Step 5. For the purpose of this guide, I will select Choose a file.
Step 6. Navigate to the picture you want to use as your new account picture, and then click the Choose Picture button.
Step 7. Now, you have successfully changed your local account profile picture in Windows 10/11.Windows 10:
Press Windows key + I to open Settings directly.
Select Accounts.
From the left-pane, select Your info. Here, you have 2 options.
Browse for one: To assign a picture already on your computer, click the Browse button. A new window appears, showing photos in your Pictures folder. Click the desired picture and click the Choose Image button. Windows quickly slap that picture atop your Start menu.
Camera: This option, available only for people with a camera attached to their computers, lets you take a quick selfie for your account photo.
The three most recently selected photos will be shown as thumbnails below your profile image, so you can quickly move back to a previously used picture. To revert to it instantly, select either of the thumbnails.
