Your profile photo’s privacy option is set to all users by default, which means that anybody may see it, including those who aren’t in your contacts list.

Here are the steps to WhatsApp profile picture from specific contacts on Android:

Note: Make sure to update the WhatsApp app to the latest version.

1. Open that WhatsApp app on your Android phone.

2. Tap the 3 dots menu and select Settings.

3. Tap Privacy.

4. Select Profile photo and choose the My contacts except…

5. Choose any contacts you don’t want to see your WhatsApp profile picture. Tap the tick icon at the bottom right-hand corner.

You’ll still be able to send and receive messages with the contacts you choose, but instead of your WhatsApp photo, they’ll see a grey circle with a human icon.
