Step 1. Install VMware Workstation Pro 17

5. Name the virtual machine such as macOS Mojave. Click Browse to choose a location to save virtual machine files and click Next, or you may let it as default.

6. Specify the disk size and select Store virtual disk as a single file and click Next. 80GB is recommended.

7. On Ready to Create Virtual Machine, Click Customize Hardware.

8. Increase the Memory from 2 GB to 4 GB or higher for better performance.

9. Select the Processors menu then increase the CPU processor core from 2 cores to 4 or Higher cores for better performance.

10. Click the New CD/DVD (SATA) option, click Use ISO image file, and click Browse.

13. On the New Virtual Machine Wizard Window, Click Finish.

1. Find the location where you’ve saved the macOS Mojave virtual machine. Right-click on a file with the extension of VMX and open it with Notepad.

Wait for macOS Mojave to restart 2/3 times to finish the installation without your interference. Be patient; it will take around 15-20 minutes, depending on your system.

Step 6. Setup macOS Mojave for the First Time

On the Welcome screen, select your country/region and click Continue.
Choose your Country and click on Continue.
Choose a Keyboard Layout and click Continue.
On the Data & Privacy page, click Continue.
Select Don’t transfer any information now and click Continue.
On Sign in with your Apple ID page, click Set up Later and click on Skip.
Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
Fill out the Full name, Account name, Password, and Hint, and click on Continue to create your user account for macOS Mojave 10.14.
On the Expres Set Up page, if you don’t want to do something just click Continue.
The dark mode feature is added newly to macOS Mojave 10.14 so you can select Light or Dark mode and then click Continue.
Finally, macOS Mojave is successfully installed on VMware.
