If you’re tired of looking at your old and boring Windows 10 or Windows 11 taskbar, then why not make it rounded and more elegant. So, in this guide, you’ll learn how to make Windows 10/11 taskbar rounded.
Meanwhile, Windows 11 has a completely redesigned Taskbar with center-aligned icons that look great. You may also change the size of the Taskbar Icons in Windows 11 to suit your needs.
RoundedTB for Windows 11/10
RoundedTB is a freeware program that lets you round off the edges of your taskbar. You may use this tool to round the edges of the taskbar and add a margin to it. This program has also been successful in altering the taskbar’s design. Your taskbar’s functionality, on the other hand, stays unchanged. The only advantage we have after installing RoundedTB on our Windows PC is that the taskbar appears better with round edges.
Margin, rounded edges, and segments may all be added to your taskbars! Without changing any system files or making any permanent system modifications, you may customize the form and appearance of Windows’ taskbar using RoundedTB.
Basic Options
Entering a margin and corner radius is the simplest method to utilize RoundedTB. RoundedTB is located in the system tray, and you can access all of its options by right-clicking on its icon.
- Margin – determines how many pixels should be removed from either side of the taskbar to create a visible and clickable margin around it.
- Corner Radius – controls how round the taskbar’s corners should be.
- Advanced – Displays a slew of advanced customizing options, which are detailed below.
- Apply – the specified settings are applied to the taskbar.
Advanced Options
These provide more customization at the expense of user-friendliness.
Independent Margins: a […] button appears on the margin box in the advanced settings. Toggle it on to enable separate margins, which lets you set a margin for each side of the taskbar. Negative values can also be used to hide the rounded edges on various sides of the display, allowing you to “attach” the taskbar to different sides of the screen.
Dynamic Mode (Windows 11): dynamic mode resizes taskbars to fit the number of icons in them, making the taskbar function similarly to the dock on macOS.
Split Mode (Windows 10): For Windows 10, the split mode is a simpler form of dynamic mode. Dynamically expanding the taskbar is not feasible due to the smaller taskbar. Split mode, on the other hand, allows you to detach the taskbar from the system tray and resize it at will after some configuration (activate this option for more information). I realize it’s not as great as dynamic mode, but it’s better than nothing for now.
Show System Tray: toggles whether the system tray, clock, and other items are displayed in dynamic/split mode. By pressing [Win]+[F2], it may be toggled at any moment.
TranslucentTB Compatibility: I worked hard with Sylveon to make TranslucentTB and RoundedTB compatible to some extent. This is an experimental feature that will cause a small flicker and requires TranslucentTB version 2021.5 to work. Enable this option to get more information.
About RoundedTB: gives details about the current RoundedTB version. You may open the settings and log files under the “Debug” area.
