On the Galaxy Watch, you may have not one, but 20 rotating picture watch faces. So, in this wearable guide, you’ll learn how to set a picture as a background on Galaxy Watch Active 2 and Galaxy Watch 3.
How to Set Picture as a Background on Galaxy Watch
Applying a new watch face to a photograph is similar to applying a new watch face, but there are a few extra steps. To create a watch face with photos, you don’t need to download any third-party apps or watch faces. Samsung Galaxy watches come with a special watch face called ‘My Photos+,’ which allows you to utilize your own photos as the backdrop of the watch face.
There are 2 ways to add a custom background to your Galaxy Watch: one through the watch itself, and the other using the Galaxy Wearable app.
So, here are the methods to put a custom background image on a Galaxy Watch:
Method 1. Put Image Background Image from the Galaxy Wearable App
Step 1. Open the Galaxy Wearable app on the connected mobile phone.
Step 2. Tap Watch faces.
Step 3. Scroll down and then choose My Photos+ under the Wallpaper menu.
Step 4. Tap Customise.
Step 5. To add photos from the Gallery, tap the Gallery option. Choose the images you wish to use. Once selected, tap Done twice.
Step 6. To change the clock style and font color, go to the Clock type and Colour tabs.
Step 7. Tap the Done button to save the changes to your custom Watch Face.
Method 2. Set Picture as a Background on Galaxy Watch from the Watch Itself
First, you will need to transfer the required photos from your phone to the watch.
Step 1. Open the Galaxy Wearable app on the connected mobile phone.
Step 2. Tap Watch settings > Add content to your watch.
Step 3. Here, select Copy images to watch.
Step 4. Find and select your favorite background image and then tap Done. Wait for the transfer process.
Once those pictures are imported to your Galaxy Watch. Follow the further steps to see how to set your photo as Watch Face on Galaxy watch.
- Tap and hold on to the Galaxy Watch face and then navigate to the My Photo+ watch face. Tap Customise.
- Tap on the blinking “add image” icon followed by tapping on Add photo icon.
- Choose the photo that you want to use in the background.
- Once selected, tap OK. You can also zoom in and out of the picture using the pinch-in and out gesture. Similarly, you can add up to 20 photos.
- To change the clock style and font color, go to the Clock type and Colour tabs.
- Once, everything is set, tap OK.
You have successfully set a custom picture of your choice as the Background on Galaxy Watch.
Swipe left to adjust the clock type and font color on the first personalization page. Finally, once you’ve finished making all of your modifications, press the Ok button to put your newly designed watch face built from your own photos on your Galaxy Watch.
You may always change the watch face by adding or removing photographs. To delete a photo, go to the My Photo+ watch face’s customization mode and press the Delete (–) symbol on the photo.
