Many smartphones have a dedicated voice recorder app including Samsung Galaxy devices and can be quite useful when you are recording your voice for different reasons. In the recent updates, Samsung added a “Trash” feature for its Voice Recorder app on Samsung Galaxy devices running on Android Pie 9.0 and Android 10. So, in this guide, you will learn how to enable the trash feature on Voice Recorder app on Samsung Galaxy devices.
Previously, Samsung Added “Trash or Recycle bin” feature for Gallery, My Files, Contacts, Samsung Notes, and now the Voice Recorder app. The Trash or Recycle Bin keeps the deleted files like photos, recorded voice, Files and etc for 30 days and after that, the files will be deleted permanently.

What is the Benefit of Having Trash Feature for Voice Recorder?
The new trash option in Samsung’s voice recorder app creates a separate folder named “Trash” just like Recycle bin in Windows or Trash in macOS and it keeps the deleted voice recordings for a limited time. After a recording is deleted, the trash folder keeps it for 30 days and after that, it will be completely deleted l. You can restore the file to the voice recorder app within those 30 days.
Meanwhile, for those who record a lot and delete a recorded voice accidentally then this feature can be quite handy for restoring back your deleted files.
However, the only downside of the trash feature on the voice recorder, My Files or Galaxy app is that it keeps the files for 30 days and we have to wait whether Samsung eventually allows users to modify the duration of that recycling period.
