Check the battery health of your Laptop via Command Prompt
Step 1. Open Command Prompt as administrator. To do so, type Cmd in the Start menu and select Run as administrator.
Step 2. Now, in the Command Prompt window, type the following command and press enter:
powercfg /batteryreport /output "C:\battery-report.html"
Step 3. It will tell you where the report has been saved on your computer. Close Command Prompt.
Step 4. To find the Battery life report, open Windows File Explorer or This PC and access the Windows (C:) drive. There you should find the Battery Report saved as an HTML file, which will open in your web browser.
The report is contained in an HTML file that helps you to quickly see the basic details of your system. The details available include the machine name, version of the BIOS, version of the operating system, etc. The report will also show you the name, serial number, and model of the battery. Of course, additional details, such as design capacity, full load capacity, and cycle count, is also available. This knowledge is important because the batteries lose their power over time.

The report will detail the health of your laptop battery, how well it has been doing, and how much longer it will last. At the top of the Battery Report, you can see basic details about your device, followed by the battery specifications.
2. Installed Batteries
The Design Capacity is the original strength of the battery, and the Full Change Capacity is the output you’re actually receiving. As the Full Charge Capacity number goes down, the less battery life you’ll have. If the Full Change Power is much smaller than the Design Capacity, then it’s time for a new battery.
3. Battery Capacity History
The Battery Capacity History section demonstrates how the capability has improved over time. On the right is the Design Capacity, or how much the battery has been designed to handle. On the left, you can see the current full-charge capacity of your laptop’s battery, which is likely to decrease over time the more you use your computer.
