The iPhone famously has a built-in screen recording feature, making it easy to capture all the action happening on your iPhone’s camera. In this feature, I am going to show you how to screen record in Samsung Galaxy S22, S21, A21 and etc on Android 12.
However, Samsung has recently released Android 10 (One UI 2.0) for their higher flagship smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, S9, S9+, Note 10, Note 10 Plus, and Note 9. In the meantime, if you have recently updated to Android 10 (One UI 2.0) then you will definitely notice that there is a hidden Screen recorder feature that you can easily screen record on Samsung Galaxy.
Furthermore, in the previous version of Android Pie (One UI), there was a feature called “Game Launcher“, this feature was limited to non-native apps, which meant you couldn’t screen record pre-installed apps like Google Maps, Chrome, and Samsung Messages.
How to Screen Record in Samsung Galaxy [Android 12]
Now, with Samsung’s native screen recorder (Android 10) you can easily screen record with high quality, and even you don’t need to use Game launcher or any other screen recording apps. In Samsung’s native screen recorder, when the video is started, a video icon will appear in the status bar to let you know that the screen recording is underway. You will also have access to a toolbar that allows you to draw over your recording, or allows the front camera to show your face in real time. The toolbar itself, as seen in the GIF below, will not show up in the final product. Here’s how it’s done:
Setup the Screen Recorder ( Android 12 or One UI 4.1)
Before you start screen recording on your Samsung Galaxy Smartphone, you need to make some changes to Samsung’s native screen recorder in the Settings app.
- Open the Settings App.
- Tap Advanced Features.
- Tap Screenshots and screen recorder.
- Select Screen recorder settings under the Screen recorder menu.
- Here you can select your preferred settings like Video quality, selfie video size, and sound.
